BI Apps — Supplier Dimensions Explained

BI Apps — Supplier Dimensions Explained

Across all the BI Apps packages suppliers are always involved. The Supplier Family in OBAW has been stored in different tables.
Most of the important ones that need your attention are:
1. w_supplier_d
2. w_supplier_product_d
3. w_supplier_account_d
While w_supplier_d dimension helps in understanding the supplier profile like supplier number, supplier name, w_supplier_account_d gives you more info about account info like bill of exchange limit, vendor account number, alternate account number, payment terms agreed upon, payment currency for this supplier and so on.
So What about w_supplier_product_d? Its Supplier Product Info. Contains product catalog info like product info, lead times, product lot size, payment terms, purchasing department involved with this supplier.
Any idea why the w_supplier_d dimension is not mentioned in data model reference guide of OBI Apps.. Only Oracle knows 🙂
