Subledger Accounting (SLA) Analytics for Oracle BI & Oracle E-Business Suite

KPI has developed a pre-built analytic application specifically designed for Subledger Accounting (SLA) and Reconciliation.

What is Subledger Accounting (SLA)?

Subledger Accounting (SLA) is a rule-based accounting engine that defines how journal entries are generated for sub-ledger transactions in Oracle applications.  SLA also supports 3rd-party applications that generate accounting information that will need to be transferred to the general ledger.

Overview

KPI Partners has developed a pre-packaged subledger accounting and reconciliation analytics solution for use on the Oracle Business Intelligence platform.
Using the solution with Oracle E-Business Suite enables any organization to review their subledger accounting data and reconcile the general ledger, SLA, and any individual subledger.  The solution also helps customers track the status of any subledger transaction in the general ledger posting process, allowing for analysis of delays in posting  balances to the general ledger.

Compliance

Subledger Accounting (SLA) Analytics is fully integrated with Oracle’s BI Application platform and is compliant with standards for Oracle ETL and BI metadata.

Integration

Subledger Accounting Analytics is well integrated with all Oracle E-Business Suite modules that interface with Subledger Accounting (SLA).

Benefits

A typical reconciliation process for any company will involve running custom reports and custom SQL scripts. This can often mean hundreds of scripts and reports. Using KPI’s Subledger Accounting (SLA) Analytics, companies can replace all their custom reports and SQL scripts with one global report which can reconcile subledger data, SLA data, and general ledger data.
In addition to increased reconciliation efficiency, the Subledger Accounting (SLA) Workflow Report provides clear visibility into the general ledger transfer status for any subledger transaction. Without SLA Analytics, users would typically have to run multiple reports in Oracle E-Business Suite to get the same type of workflow information.

Key Functionality

Subledger Accounting (SLA) Analytics is delivered with out-of the-box conformed dimensions and features the following functionality:
  • Visibility into the Subledger Accounting (SLA) rules which empowers a user to analyze the impact to accounting.
  • Users can reconcile any subledger module with general ledger and SLA data.
  • Review the detail of the SLA to GL transfer process, allowing analysis of exceptions and successful general ledger transfers.
  • Analyze the status of a subledger transaction at each stage during a transfer to the general ledger.
  • Analyze the impact of individual subledger transactions on the general ledger balance.
