Oracle Business Intelligence Administration Tool is

  • Used to manage OBIEE server
  • Available only for Windows operating systems.
  • A Windows application that allows the BI Server administrator to create & edit repositories.
  • Can edit repositories in either online or offline mode.
  • Having a session manager and a cache manager in online mode.
How to Start Administration Tool in 10G
You can start it in two ways:
  1. Using Windows Menu : Start > All Programs > Oracle Business Intelligence > Administration
  2. By starting the executable file admintool.exe. 
How to Start Administration Tool in 11G
You can start it in two ways:
  1. Using Windows Menu : Start > All Programs > Oracle Business Intelligence > Administration
  2. By launching the Administration Tool from the command line using bi-init.cmd.
